The concept of the menswear 2021 collection challenges conventional masculinity through childlike and feminine associated features emphasising on the potential boundarylessness of masculinity. Blending feminine shapes with masculine silhouettes the effect is conventional and creates an interesting juxtaposition.Soft Virility is about revising the characteristics of masculinity through a symbolic journey in clothing back to victorian childhood.
Evoking a delicate colour palette from the 1860-85, soft greys and cream colours make up the collection, showing a side of frivolity in menswear, imbuing a softer strength that offers a different kind of armour (Alexander, 2020).
